Accessibility
Last updated: October 31, 2026
We want everyone to be able to read and enjoy Pylcrow. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Text and background colours are chosen to meet contrast requirements.
- Images have text alternatives, and headlines and text are real text rather than images.
- Pages use a clear heading structure, so screen readers can move through them.
- Links are underlined in articles, and keyboard focus is clearly visible.
- Motion is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limits
Some embedded content from other sites (videos, music players, social posts) may not fully meet these standards. We are also still testing Arabic and right-to-left layouts.
Report a barrier
If something on the site is hard to use, tell us on the contact page. Include the page link and what went wrong, and we will work to fix it.
