Corrections

We work to get things right, and when we get something wrong we fix it openly.
How to report a mistake
Send us a message on the contact page with the link to the post, what is wrong, and a source if you have one. We review every report.
How we fix it
- Factual errors (a wrong name, date, figure or meaning) are corrected in the post, with a dated note at the end saying what changed.
- Updates (new information since publication) are added with an “Updated” note and date.
- Small fixes such as typos, broken links or formatting are made without a note.
- Serious errors that undermine a whole post may lead us to rewrite or remove it, with an explanation.
Opinions are not corrected because someone disagrees with them, but facts used to support an opinion are.
